When you submit a quote request, your details are forwarded directly to approved contractors, who survey your home, quote directly, and carry out the work.

Yes. There’s no charge to homeowners for submitting a quote request or receiving contractor contact.

Every contractor must be SEAI-registered, and where relevant, also registered with RGII, RECI, or Safe Electric Ireland. This is what makes homeowners eligible for SEAI grants on completed work.

No. Compare quotes from as many or as few contractors as you like, and decide freely. There’s no obligation to proceed with anyone.

Yes. Individual grants stack through separate applications. A single detached home completing every applicable measure can qualify for over €38,000 combined.

It depends on the measure. You generally can’t claim the same grant twice for the same measure, though from March 2026 a second wall insulation measure is permitted. Check the specific rules on the relevant grant guide.

Starting work before receiving SEAI’s written approval. This disqualifies the grant with no exceptions, across every SEAI scheme.
